Dahlqvist blends reality, fiction and memories in his writings. He finds reality in ordinary, daily events and in conversations and chat sessions with people of all ages. All this is mixed with a dose of fiction, so that original facts become different, more beautiful and exciting.
The many journeys Dahlqvist makes, form a fantastic source for describing
various situations and environments.
Dahlqvist visited Austria, Germany, Scandinavia and New Zealand, Scotland, Canadian
provinces like New Foundland, Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Yukon; the
United States, including Alaska, Nevada, California and Utah. Moreover, he
wandered around on small islands, which accidentally all start with the
letter M: Madeira, Malta and São Miguel (Azores).
After his art studies in Antwerp, he worked over the years for companies of very different nature: design, promotion, translation, DTP, IT, shipping. Hence, these experiences also form a vast source of information. He published technical-historical essays and was operative as a ghostwriter.
