Dahlqvist blends reality, fiction and memories in his writings. He finds reality in ordinary, daily events and in conversations and chat sessions with people of all ages. All this is mixed with a dose of fiction, so that original facts become different, more beautiful and exciting.
Dahlqvist's debut is fact-based, but - as the author himself expresses - it passed through his "mincing machine". It is the story of a confused Swedish boy. His carefree childhood is abruptly interrupted by a tragic event. He moves to Belgium and is torn between frail memories of rural Sweden and the hard reality of his new life in the city of Antwerp. He wages war against the world and himself. Fortunately, his brother Rasmus is there to help him during difficult moments - or does that brother make things even worse?
